Even though I have listened to this many times it is still one of my favorite Neurosis albums or ep.Spoken word intro just gets me everytime, before you are swept up in the maelstrom, needless to say this is essential.
Many of my friends ask me why do I listen to this kind of music. Just because like some other bands of that kind, it always bring me the feeling of a powerful & dynamic symphony. Just like the band says : "NEUROSIS is music. Music in the same way that Wagner is music." That’s it.
Neurosis are continuing their reissue campaign with a re-release of their EP ‘Sovereign’, orignally released in 2000.
The EP was the band’s first to be released on their own Neurot Records, and was released between the band’s seminal albums ‘Times of Grace’ and ‘A Sun That Never Sets’. This reissue will come with a new bonus track, ‘Misgiven’, and new artwork by Aaron Turner (Isis).
